And on that note, DTLFL is taking a little offseason of its own. But we are leaving you a Barry Bonds poll, since he is no doubt the biggest name in this year’s Hot Stove League.

He says he has a passion for broadcasting like he has a passion for baseball. He’s been doing radio and local TV since his minor league days. He enjoys talking and he makes sure he preps shows when he subs for local hosts out here, so he has the stats, etc. And he can talk about other sports besides baseball. Loves to talk about college football, in fact.

This is way off topic, but in case any of you didn’t hear, Joe Niekro, Lance’s dad, passed away. He was only 61. My deepest condolences to Lance and his family.

I hardly trust these results. Brennaman was victimized by a butterfly ballot or chicanery of some kind.
